GENESIS G40: Assembly Help File - Pictorial PHASE 8.
Phase 8. Power Amplifier
-glue together two BN ferrite cores.

-feed the twisted wire through BN core as shown here (fromt view).
-back view.
-insert transformer into PCB, form leads, pull them tight and cut so that approx. 5mm of wire is protruding out.
-remove transformer form PCB, scrape enamel coating from the leads but DO NOT TIN them as yet - insert transformer back into PCB and solder the leads.
-attach IRF510 power MOSFET to its heat sink with M3 screw.
-solder IRF510 leads and two heat sink pins.
-solder all remaining components in PA section.
-install two jump wire.
-with 5K trimmer [Y502] adjust the gate voltage to 4.2V NOTE: nominal output power of G40 is approx. 8W out. However to ensure reliable operation and to avoid excess heat REDUCE the output power to 5W.
-G40 is now assembled and ready for PC RX/TX test.
